Ānuenue | Pediatric & General Dentistry is seeking a dependable, caring, and clinically minded Dental Assistant to help create calm, positive experiences for keiki, parents, and adult patients.
You will support our dentists during pediatric and general dental care, help patients and caregivers feel comfortable, and maintain excellent standards for safety, infection prevention, and patient care. This is currently a core Friday–Sunday role, with opportunities for additional weekday shifts as our practice grows.
We welcome experienced Dental Assistants as well as motivated applicants interested in beginning a career in dentistry through a structured, paid training pathway.
Compensation
-
Experienced Dental Assistant: $22–$26 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills

Dental Assistant Trainee: $19–$22 per hour during structured training
-
Weekend differential: Additional $1 per hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts

Retention bonus: $500 after successfully completing 90 days of employment
What You Will Do
-
Assist dentists during pediatric and general dental procedures using four-handed dentistry
-
Support preventive, restorative, extraction, orthodontic, emergency, and endodontic care

Help children and caregivers feel safe through calm, age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and patient records for each appointment

Maintain excellent sterilization, infection-prevention, operatory-turnover, and safety standards

Take digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and scans

Support safe sedation appointments and care for patients with special healthcare needs

Assist with accurate charting, treatment flow, supplies, and team coordination

Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming clinical environment

Support front-office workflow, patient flow, scheduling, and other administrative needs as needed
What We Are Looking For

Reliable availability for a regular Friday–Sunday schedule

A warm, respectful, patient-centered approach, especially with children and families

Clear communication, attention to detail, initiative, and teamwork

Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical setting

Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow with the practice

A team-oriented mindset and readiness to help where needed

Chairside dental-assisting or operating-room experience
-
Pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, sterilization, or customer-service experience

Experience with digital radiographs, intraoral scanning, or dental software
-
Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it with practice support

Dental-assisting coursework, DANB credentials, or additional language skills
-
Interest in building systems within a growing dental practice
